FAQs:
Who is Teneo Solutions, LLC?
Teneo Solutions was created in May, 2001 to guide smaller private practices
through the HIPAA privacy and security process. Information in the software was
developed by Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSPs) with
strong healthcare backgrounds. Members of our team performed the HIPAA Security
Assessment for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the
largest HIPAA covered entity and the writer of the HIPAA regulations. Our lead
consultant was the former technical director of the National Security Agency's
National Computer Security Center.
The legal work for the company was done by the Washington, DC office of one
of the premiere law firms in the nation in healthcare regulatory issues.
How can you claim that I will be HIPAA compliant within hours?
We feel that, with proper direction, any practice can become compliant with
very little pain - in a few hours. In fact, organizations are given leeway to
take "appropriate" steps based on their size and financial
considerations. Based on our knowledge of information security and healthcare,
we have developed a package that walks you through the legitimate options. The
result is the TurboHIPAA product. HIPAA does not need to result in large time
or capital investments to achieve compliance.
Do you guarantee that I will be HIPAA compliant if I use TurboHIPAA?
TurboHIPAA has been carefully created to meet all HIPAA-required areas
outlined by the Department of Health and Human Services. We will
vigorously defend any governmental challenges, if any, to the software.
Keep in mind however, that compliance is a process that requires that
you adhere strictly to your policies. We cannot guarantee that your staff will
implement your policies properly. Also, although the software has been
carefully created to meet the needs of private practices, we cannot account for
every variation in the way that practices do business.
Is the software only for private practices?
The software is tailored to smaller private practices (under around a dozen
practitioners). It is not really applicable for providers that belong to large
health systems or research entities.
